Let's face it: it's tempting to prairie dog on the cubicle farm. You hear a strange noise. Someone calls your name from a few cubicles away. A terrible smell wafts into your space. Of course you want to stand up and look at the source of what is grabbing your attention. But try not to. Your cubicle neighbors don't appreciate you hovering over the cubicle wall. It's a sure reminder and confirmation of how exposed cubicle employees really are, and no one appreciates that sort of reality check. It's all about respecting your neighbor's space.
