Higher or Lower?

Sure, we all tend to hate our carpeted cubicle walls. Some feel their cube walls are too short and don't provide enough privacy. Others feel their cube walls are too high and prevent much-needed access to the coworkers we must collaborate with. Are your cubicle walls too low? Too high? Or just the right height?

Current wall height is just fine with me. I just wish I had more walls.

I had one supervisor who replaced our walls with desk-height walls. She claimed it was so she could see if we were at our desks so she could talk to us from hers. It backfired for our productivity, though, as we ended up chatting more when she wasn't around.

Haha! And the real poetic justice would be if you ended up chatting more about her when she wasn't around.

Ah, office cubicles — the work space we love to hate. Unlike offices, or even open work areas, cubicles are so reviled that they’ve actually spawned comic strips and movies dedicated to their awfulness.

"The work space we love to hate." So, so true.

A lot of customers start out with low cubicle walls and then find out that they don't provide enough protection against distractions. We've come up with a way to easily extend the wall height of cubicles for employees who need more privacy and less noise.
